HEMACK: from a machine demonstration to connection tooling

A busbar machine has to fit the connection it produces. Our work with HEMACK brought the 50-3NC, punching dies and circuit-breaker connection tools into the same technical discussion.

A hands-on start at FEIMEC

The HEMACK contact began at FEIMEC 2026 in São Paulo, where the customer could see the MOTI busbar machine, inspect its components and discuss test operation. The MOTI team subsequently visited HEMACK’s facility. That gave the conversation a production context: the bars being made, the connection requirements and the customer’s future plans.

Define the holes and bends together

The project review covered punching-die dimensions and quantities as well as bending requirements. HEMACK’s electrical-panel and automation work makes the finished connection the useful starting point. A machine can have sufficient force and width while still needing a special tool for a particular hole shape or short connection.

A combined punching and bending tool

The project report presents a custom tool that combines a punch with a bending die in its base. It is designed for a single-operation punching and bending process on connection pieces. The described application is lateral and central connections to DIN-standard circuit breakers used with distribution boxes and panels. The tool requires drawings that identify thickness, bend angle and opening dimensions, and the matching turret needs custom-machined apertures. This interface should be included when specifying the machine.

Document the actual machine before dispatch

Before shipment, machine photographs and video allow the customer to review the completed equipment. The shipment preparation described in the report includes reinforcement and anti-rust measures for transport. For a similar order, the machine configuration, tool list and agreed inspection points should be kept together with the final packing information.

Bring your connection into the discussion

For your own panel project, send a dimensioned connection drawing and show where it meets the breaker or main busbar. Include hole shapes, material, quantity and the operations you want to combine. We can then discuss a standard tool set, a dedicated forming tool or a different workstation arrangement.
